I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
