Messages Uncover Jeffrey Epstein and Steve Bannon Relationship

Steve Bannon
Bannon was one of the former president's top strategists before stepping down from the administration in August 2017

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, visited the UK to deliver a speech at the Oxford Union.

The event was disrupted by hundreds of demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to board a flight that evening, told Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters delayed speech don't think I can catch the flight we are heading to heathrow".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing assistant".

These messages were published on this week together with more than 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the deceased convicted sex offender.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets managed to establish his involvement by matching the dates, events, and places referenced.

For example, Epstein discusses arranging a jet from the UK for the redacted user in the messages, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and gave the talk at the Oxford two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the request for comment.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as the president's key advisers in the lead-up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his presidency, but resigned from the administration in August 2017.

He has admitted he was producing a documentary about Epstein prior to his passing and reportedly has around 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his podcast recently, he stated: "We're going to publish the film, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - early next year."

But the newly released materials indicate Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile occasionally appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A few days prior to the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have arranged a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "You are quite capable assistant", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein assured Bannon: "I'll make sure you're well looked after."

UK Politics Discussed in Messages

The released communications also show Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in that year.

Earlier on the day of his speech at the Oxford, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the Brexit issue this day with Farage, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a reference to the UK prime minister, the struggling British leader at the period, he added: "The guys are attempting to move on. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view remaining as much as you can uk. Best-- so others get the dedication of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa may remain in power". Bannon answered: "I don't see how however the people over here have little courage" and noted "Boris ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to take charge".

Theresa May was eventually removed in May 2019 after surviving two votes of lack of support in December 2018.

A spokesman for the political party informed the BBC: "Nigel Farage has never been in a meeting with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest that encounter occurred.

The Congress will vote next week on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its files concerning its probe into Epstein, who passed away in prison in 2019.

Attention in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited this week after the release of more than 20,000 pages from his estate.

A portion of those referenced Trump, who has repeatedly denied any impropriety. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, a couple of years before Epstein was initially charged.
